This 72 hour Permaculture Design Certification Course has an unique Urban focus. The 18 day class is held on 34 acres in the center of an emerging urban ecovillage/supportive community sited on a former Naval Air Station.  You will experience a collaborative permaculture design educational experience with a very dynamic team of instructors in a multi-cultural and progressive environment . All the usual Permaculture topics will be covered as well as additional attention given towards youth empowerment, green jobs, local environmental and social justice issues. Hands-on experience in a new Ploughshares Permaculture Nursery social-venture business will be offered as well as tours of the rich local East Bay Area landscape of urban ecological demonstrations sites. Come find and co-create community with us.
