from Karen Rae:

I just got back from two weeks in Hawaii on the big island. I have much to share from my time on this healing isalnd at this pivotal time in history. What a blessing to be in this amazing land of peace. It proved to me once again that when we "answer the call of spirit" amazing gifts are in store for us.

I attended James Twyman's opening ceremony and event for the Psychic children. We all made prayers and sang for peace for the world. Their overiding message was to not feel we ware failing and to put our dreams into action.

I was granted an invitation to take part in an amazing Equinox gathering at the top of Mt. Mauna Kea with the Royal Order of Kamehameha (at sunrise) on their most sacred mountain. We stayed up all night and it was 10 degrees below zero with 40% less oxygen on the final treck at 14,000 ft above sea level. Not for the faint of heart! We all chanted as the sun rose in the sky and said prayers for the world and our individual lives.

The whales were every where reminding us of love and play and "The Mother energy" holding us all. I went to the City of Refuge- the island's legendary site of Forgiveness and mercy. I attended the Tahitian dance festival where there were over 500 of the most beautiful women I have ever seen dressed in hand made traditional costumes, woven with exotic flowers dancing, dancing and dancing..... celebrating the beauty and grace of the feminine spirit. It was like some cosmic counterbalance to the wounded male ego being displayed on the other side of the planet...spouting tenderness and heart into the collective pool.

I spent an afternoon with a Hawaiin Elder (Kapuna)...Aunty Mehealani...messenger for the ancestors....sharing our mutual journeys. This previous evening my hosts had invited me to their class with they are learning more from her about ho' opono Pono.....the sacred Hawaiin teachings "making right more right".

It was the day the war began and we were all searching our souls for answers. She gave us a special chant which she asked me to share with the world through my songs. A chant for "Celebrating the Peace, Now." The Hawaiins are the Keepers of much Star knowlege and their chants are encoded with the sounds for healing and manifestation.

I felt bathed in the "Aloha spirit" of Love and Inclusiveness. I breathed in the breathe of the Ancestors and restored my spirit and my faith in the goodness that exists amidst the darkest of times.

Love and Aloha,

May peace prevail in our hearts

and in our world.

Musings

"Like any tool used for self-discovery, growth, and healing, journal writing takes practice; patience and consistency are the underlying prerequisites for change and growth. Journal writing is a tool that you can integrate into your lifestyle as you move forward on your path of self-discovery. Make a quiet time and space for yourself to write. There's no need to be rigid about this, because writing might then become something that you come to dread - like a chore or a homework assignment. Let the time you set aside for yourself to write be a time of quiet meditation and introspection."
- Louise L. Hay
