Comfort Queen's Inner Organizer: Organize Your Life From a Soulful Perspective

I created this organizer when I realized that the modern day chimera, balance, is never coming home to roost, unless we stop looking outside ourselves. I will never experience a week in which I give enough time and love to my daughter, the perfect amount of energy to my work, to my partnership, my friendships, my body, my spiritual life. That's a magazine article, a fantasy, not a life.

What is possible? By slowing down and going inside to listen, by asking ourselves thought-provoking questions, we can create a certain balance: realistic, unique to each of us, balance that is much more about connecting with the unique shape of our lives than about a perfect schedule.

We don't need another complicated organizer or set of directions on how to live. We just need a simple way to remember what we already know.

Jennifer Louden is the author of The Woman's Comfort Book, The Couple's Comfort Book, The Pregnant Woman's Comfort Book, The Woman's Retreat Book, and Comfort Queen's Guide to Life.

She is also a certified coach and a graduate of The Newfield Network. Jennifer's books have been translated into eight languages and have been

bestsellers in both Germany and the U.S., reaching hundreds of thousands of women.Jennifer has taught her lively workshops and delivered her entertaining keynotes across the U.S., Canada, and Europe at hospitals, corporations, and universities. She has worked one on one with women in retreat settings since 1992. Jennifer's media appearances have included "Oprah," "Later Today," as well as MS-NBC, CNN, and Fit TV. Articles about her work have appeared in Glamour, Shape, People, Redbook, Good Housekeeping, Self, New Woman, Ladies Home Journal, Yoga Journal, Health, InStyle, and Parents.

Musings

"Like any tool used for self-discovery, growth, and healing, journal writing takes practice; patience and consistency are the underlying prerequisites for change and growth. Journal writing is a tool that you can integrate into your lifestyle as you move forward on your path of self-discovery. Make a quiet time and space for yourself to write. There's no need to be rigid about this, because writing might then become something that you come to dread - like a chore or a homework assignment. Let the time you set aside for yourself to write be a time of quiet meditation and introspection."
- Louise L. Hay
