The full moon rises in the eastern Sky
and I am rich.
Harvest beckons, one last time
as we gather what we have planted.
The deep long nights of Fall
call us with crisp air,
as the leaves dancing among our footsteps
beneath a clear October sky.
Winter comes soon. She reaches
for us with graceful arm, her
silhouette painted on orange Sky
"Take my hand, she whispers."
But not yet. Not until we harvest
what we planted, pumpkins round and
silky corn. Not until we offer
Thanks for where we have come,
and what we know.
This is the time, beneath the full moon Sky
to smile and be kind. To warm our communities
with love and blessing, with heart that is full and wide.
It is time for us gather. For we are one. |
