May We Be Thankful

I am thankful for the family I have
and the friends near and far
I am thankful that we have food
that nourishes our bodies and hearts
I am thankful for all the light
and for the love my life has
whether it be future, present
and even for the torrid past
May we all be thankful
we are here together today
At least we can reach out and
know it will all be okay
For all these reasons and more
I will always be thankful
I will be rich and never poor

In Wanting

dreams unbidden,
always wanting more than can be given
patiently I wait for my heart to reconcile,
to appreciate the true gift of you
no longer do I allow myself to be consumed
but then there is
a word;
a touch;
a glance
that makes me long to share this passion with you
I do not wish for more than a moment...
a taste.. a brief interlude to be enjoyed and savored
don't you think it could be fun?

When I am with You
When I am with you
I see your Light within.
It doesn't matter how you feel now;
I see you with Love in my heart for you,
For that is my way.
Even if you were a stranger
I would see your Inner Light;
I would still see you with Love.
Now that I choose to See
my own Inner Light,
the masks have fallen away to reveal our True Selves.
I would that you could
See your own Self
so you could see the Beauty and Love
I see in you.

Musings

I will not be just a tourist in the world of images, just watching images passing by which I cannot live in, make love to, possess as permanent sources of joy and ecstasy.
- Anais Nin

All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware.
- Martin Buber

For art to exist, for any sort of aesthetic activity to exist, a certain physiological precondition is indispensable: intoxication.
