Roots, neurotic roots form a recognition deep, form a familiar face, claiming a familiar path, etched in the pathways of my brain.

So distant they are from the passion of vision that seeps into the waking.  Like a dream that slowly penetrates the consciousness on its way to taking over.

In the interim of this taking over, is a bodiless consciousness, observing, witnessing, feeling.  Feeling, yes feeling deeply, the presence of those comprising my outer world.  So strongly felt is the experience, the neurotic self fades back and back.

And bigger and bigger the passion of the vision grows, and demands a presence in me to carry it into full view.  Neurosis, unfit as a vessel, will not do.  And the invisible witness serves no more.

Out of what matter will this presence be created?  Where are the roots and foundation of genuineness to create this being, who has never before stood on earth?  Born of piercing intention, one-pointed, yet rich and full, pounding into my brain and heart and being.  Intention born of the pulsating passion of the vision, bursting out of my yearning heart, births the powerful, sensual, sexual presence, larger than the physical stature of the human woman.

Born of unflinching vision, unafraid of truth's essence hidden in the unknown, she leaps out into the world in joyous truth and love, uncovering the magical reality under the surface.  Taking up expansive space, with each step opening up vast new worlds, blessed in her triumphal majesty.

And so I stand in awe of this new being, destined to be me.  Who shall say the human soul is not the vehicle for the essence of the Divine?

The Demands of the Spirit

The more I open to meaning and joy, the more demanding I become.

How can I connect the greater and deeper gifts that then come forth as I plumb the depths,
with what others value < value enough to shower me with abundance?

Yes, I become more demanding and stubborn,
that the furthest reaches of my mind and heart be set free.

Did the part of me that came here with such passionate desire and purpose, have in mind the realities of survival?

Oh, yes, and here's the trick, the cosmic jest <
In order to bring this new in, my whole system of survival must turn itself on end.
No, it cannot express itself within the old and hope to be rewarded with the abundance that is its due.
I it is who must value it, honoring its birth and rejoicing in the bounty it is providing < a bounty not yet understood.

How else is value recognized?  We learn to recognize each new expansion of what is of value as we step forth in evolution, and let it touch the heart of what is true.

Dare I let my greatness show?

Musings

Art is not so much expressing oneself, as it is discovering oneself.

The only thing better than singing is more singing.
- Ella Fitzgerald

Stop. Breathe. Allow yourself the luxury of doing nothing for a moment, or an hour, or even a day. It is in emptiness that inspiration will appear.
- Carole Katchen

I don't see why we ever think of what others think of what we do – no matter who they are. Isn't it enough just to express yourself?

Fried Sugar Throat

Peel me like a pear
I don't care
wear me anyway you want
as long as I'm soft
drawn open
a fried sugar throat
a resting bone
breath like strawberry
and a sore sore throat
so sore I rub it
I love it

Do whatever you want
I don't care
as long as I'm soft
tasting tangerine
caught like a thief
whispering vines
in between teeth

My hands wander
my eyes wander
my heart wanders
I'm fine as long as you
let me go on about with
this sweetness
a fried sugar throat
going sweeter
with every turn

Peel me like a pear
I don't care
spin me round
see what you create
little jewel box handler
wear me anyway you want
I don't care
as long as I'm soft
sore and sweet.
