The human figure has always been the central focus of my pictures. Humanity interests me the most compared to landscapes, still lifes and all the things one can photograph. Sometimes it is merely an imprint of humanity that I am capturing like the sheets on
a bed or a woman's shoe.

As a woman I am curious to study how it is a girl develops an image of herself and her body. Our culture seems particularly obsessed with body image and sex appeal. Since I can remember I have been influenced by myths and fairy tales like Snow White, Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella. These stories have shaped my ideas about the power of beauty, seduction, purity, and jealousy. In many ways these ideas influence my pictures.

My current work is about the undeniable connection that women have with nature. For eons gals have been depicted in the woods, rivers, oceans and meadows, forever the symbol of fertility.

It is also important to me that the nude figure be seen, exposed,
and confronted. Our society in America is sexually repressed and because of that people harbor sub-conscious feelings of shame associated with pleasure while viewing naked imagery. My work
is exploring the pleasure and a little shame.

I will not be just a tourist in the world of images, just watching images passing by which I cannot live in, make love to, possess as permanent sources of joy and ecstasy.

All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware.
- Martin Buber

For art to exist, for any sort of aesthetic activity to exist, a certain physiological precondition is indispensable: intoxication.
