Guests at SpiralMuse LIVE! Event

These are some of the beautiful poems created by guests at our SpiralMuse LIVE! Event in January:

Slipping into the process
A soaking circle of strife
Who gets paid as she wanders into worry
This glittering woman
A photo of her life

- Kate Stevenson

Hidden analysis
Raging through the unforeseen
Reclaim the gorgeous
The blessed
The Me

- Kate Stevenson

A luxurious invite
Honey set
Words oozing ecstasy
Magnetized my soul
A hive of hatred
Couldn't keep me away

- Kate Stevenson

She is.
Sweet as honey
Gentle as the wind
Full of desire
Standing strong
In her position in the world
Deep from the well
Bloody with the sacred juices
Of the ancient ones
Connected to the depth
Of her soul.
Wholesome
Staple. like honey
. is she

- Simone Glueck

Moist
Frolic
Femaleness
Thunder!

- Morgan

I sat in the chair, waiting
For the pin to begin
It's drum beat, waiting
For you to whisper
In my ear, while the needle would
Whisper your serpent's blood -
Indigo ink -
Into my skin.
I wondered
How would you appear? Transcendent
Light? Magic
Vision? I waited
For nutrition. I got pain.
Sweat soaked
My shirt my hair my
Goddess I tried
To fend it off,
Averting my thoughts, angry
Because this was not what
I had expected.
And then you did whisper.
You were the pain.
You made me
Breathe and feel this:
Not WHAT-SHOULD-BE but
WHAT-IS
As each wholesome clot
Rose, I heard you more
Highly, pricking me out of my head, into
Myself.
This is mine this is
A lifetime drawing on my back,
An act of faith,
A secret echo of Her
Voice, a reminder that
What you resist persists,
But what you accept (even
When you don't understand it)
Is Hers.

- Alison Slade Marra

They tell me:
You must have drive.
I blossom.
They tell me:
Good credit is your security.
I have an umbrella of faith.
They tell me:
You should probe.
I am tender.
It is my volition, therefore my
Expression
What they tell me is them.
What I do is me.

Heavenly Circus

This Life is a heavenly circus
Bodies writhing in poetic pose
Humans and animals together in play
Are you the snake or the apple?
Take a bite of this lusciousness.
Any objection to getting naked?

I will not be negative
I will be the fool
I will not whine invasions
I will eat cake Wednesday
Or any day
I will walk
I will not walk angry
I am moon
I have toenails
I feel existence

- Bekka Fink

Musings

I will not be just a tourist in the world of images, just watching images passing by which I cannot live in, make love to, possess as permanent sources of joy and ecstasy.
- Anais Nin

All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware.
- Martin Buber

For art to exist, for any sort of aesthetic activity to exist, a certain physiological precondition is indispensable: intoxication.
- Friedrich Nietzsche
